Atsuko Kawamata
Artist-Painter (Oil-painting). Born in Tokyo and raised in Kamakura, Japan.
Focusing on solo exhibitions, also involved in restaurant exhibitions, promotions and collaborations, etc.
I always travel in Europe, mainly in France, Italy and Southern Europe.
There, I breathe clean air, I feel fantastic atmosphere, and the images grow in my heart. The scenes have been engraved in my mind. Its charm and warmth also fascinate me.
The emotion for Europe and journey, it's a mysterious passion that's rooted in my heart. I don't know the reason, but I'm strongly attracted.
I express such feelings and impressions on canvas, by using the means of "colors".
Playing with vivid colors in thinking of Europe, and expressing my inner world with happiness, it's a fantastic and inspiring work, something like a dream.
With my paintings, I want to bring dreams and happiness. I would be glad if I could create something that touches the heart of someone, as many as possible.
It’s my pleasure and that is one of the reasons why I continue to make paintings.
