I’ll participate in "Lighting Objet 2023" starting tomorrow, December 16.
(This is my first time to attend it).
Lighting Objet is a major charity event decorating Tokyo at the end of the year.
It’s a charity exhibition of light art with the message of "peace for the global environment and the future of children.
The event also supports "Great East Japan Earthquake and the Kumamoto Earthquake Reconstruction Assistance".
This year, it is the 18th anniversary of this event.
More than 160 artists and celebrities are participating in the exhibition, and various tours and events are held. （The proceeds from the sales of artworks and donations are given to various organizations.)
The lighting ceremony will start at 2:30 p.m. on the 16th, tomorrow.
We will illuminate the landscape of Yaesu, Tokyo, until the 25th.
Artists' works will be displayed mainly in the form of lanterns. There will also be many events such as live of music and performances.
(I will exhibit a lantern with printed images of my oil paintings on Japanese paper.)
The venue is directly connected to the Yaesu underground shopping mall, making it easy for people on their way home from work to enjoy the event.
The event was held in Marunouchi until last year, but this year it has been upgraded and moved to a new location in Yaesu !
The city is in the midst of the sparkling Christmas season.
